General ApplicationsAmerican Sound Masking ASM-1042 Soundmasking Conditioner is a soundmasking generater, low-pass filter, and power amplifier in an easy to use neutral toned enclosure. The ASM-1042 is designed for use in soundmasking applications that require centralized control, yet space and/or economy are a consideration. The unit features a simple and clearly labeled controls for ease of use. It offers many of the most popular features usually found on larger centralized soundmasking systems, taking the place of various rack-type components.
The ASM-1042 is effective in supplying dedicated soundmasking for up to 8,000 sq.ft. zone.
This unit is for Sound Masking only. To include Paging, Emergency Evacuation Paging, Music and/or a Miccrophone, see the ASM-1092 viewed below.

When suspended, the loudspeaker assembly offers a clean appearance with no exposed controls or wiring from below. No ceiling or floor penetrations are required and soundmasking distribution within the cavities meets ASTM requirements for spatial uniformity when installed according to manufacturer's recommendations. Accessories are available to either suspend the ASM-2490LP/LPC above a ceiling, anchor to the raised floor pedestal, or rest on the ceiling grid. It is a versatile device that can be used for either commercial soundmasking or security applications. The ASM-2490LP/LPC is effective in securing shallow cavities above and below a secure environment when DIAM and DCID requirements for SCIF need to be met.

General Application
American Sound Masking ASM-1082 self-contained ceiling masker is designed for quick and easy installation into small office zones. Units can be suspended from above or bridge-mounted above a ceiling tile grid, making the ASM-1082 ideal for flex-space and open structure applications. The ASM-1082 is also suited for use when HIPAA oral privacy mandates are a concern (admitting, examination, consultation, and pharmacy areas). Multiple units can be networked to provide uniform soundmasking while locally powered by a central, Class Two (under 25- Volt) transformer.

American Sound Masking ASM-SDT12A Step Down Transformer and Junction Box Assembly is designed to provide localized power to 12-Volt equipment networks. When used in conjunction with American Sound Masking’s ASM-1082 Self-Contained Soundmasker, the complete ASM-SDT12/12A assembly can provide adequate power for network of up to forty soundmaskers. The ASM-SCT12/12A accepts standard 110VAC and steps down the voltage to operate 12-Volt devices, meeting all Class Two requirements. The ASM-SDT12/12A features an internal breaker that will protect the valuable speaker array from destructive power surges. All assembly components are UL approved. While the transformer is available by itself (model number ASM-SDT12),
American Sound Masking recommends the use of the complete transformer/ junction box assembly (model number
ASM-SDT12A) to insure adequate wiring.
Warning: Do not plug in SDT, (step down transformer), until at least one ASM-1082 speaker is wired onto it.
